Is CrossFit For All Levels?

“CrossFit is not for me”, “I could never do CrossFit”, “It’s dangerous and I don’t want to get injured”

These statements are typically made by people who want to do CrossFit but have little knowledge or have a misconception of what CrossFit really entails. When people hear the word CrossFit, the first thing that comes to mind is competition, bodybuilders, or weightlifters, which scares them away and leads them to believe that it is not for them. Only a few knew that it is for anyone, regardless of age, injuries, and current fitness levels.

Although CrossFit is open to all, it takes a certain type of person to stick with it, which does not necessarily include everyone. Those who have the fortitude, patience, and perseverance are the ones who are capable of doing CrossFit.

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a lifestyle that emphasizes safe, effective exercise and healthy eating. It is high intensity and designed for functional movement by performing WOD (Workout of the Day), which is intended to increase endurance and help you build the strength required to perform daily tasks.

In our sessions, exercises can be modified to accommodate people of any age, skill, or fitness level. To begin with, workouts are completely ‘scalable’ meaning that our coaches may alter the movements in the workout or shorten its duration. They may adjust the weights or have an athlete move slowly which allows you to complete the WOD at your own pace.

Why CrossFit?

Let’s take a look at the benefits of CrossFit and why you should try it.

  1. Enhance Physical Strength. Since the majority of CrossFit movements require the recruitment of various muscle groups in the body, its high-intensity, multi-joint movements may help you gain muscle strength and stamina.
  1. Improve Agility, Balance, and Flexibility. CrossFit training programs incorporate the benefits of dynamic stretching (movement while stretching), which will improve your flexibility and mobility; two factors that will help you in both your daily life and at the gym.
  2. Burn Calories. One of the most valued benefits of CrossFit training is the ability to burn calories since CrossFit training is a type of exercise that promotes muscle gain – more muscle mass means a faster metabolism, and a faster metabolism equates to burning more calories.

Through our CrossFit program, every workout is designed to help you succeed, with proper nutrition, improving your health and wellbeing, and moving you closer to your fitness goals faster.
